I am an experienced teacher and currently Head of English and Media in a large secondary school. I am also an examiner for EDUQAS English Language GCSE. I have a range of resources available on TES. Some of my resources are quite old, from when I first started out, and I am currently working in my spare time to update my resources. There are a range of resources from displays, schemes of work, revision booklets, mock exam papers and lessons available.

A P4C lesson discussing animal rights and morality, using an article about Tilikum the whale in SeaWorld and the documentary Blackfish. A good way to have students discuss, justify and improve reasoning skills. A writer in role task is also included at the end of the lesson that can be used as an exit ticket, or homework, which encourages students to play 'devils advocate'.

This one targets key stage 4 and above and assists teaching of Lord of the Flies by William Golding. There are 25 homeworks already planned, differentiated by 'spice'. Since using these menus, where the students pick for themselves, the amount and quality of homework has improved

Included in the lesson is a worksheet with the three extracts on, including teacher modelled annotations on the smaller extract. Students finish the lesson by writing a PEE analysis of the presentation of Scrooge, which is again modelled and differentiated for weaker students.
